【摘要】:Thesetestmethodsareappropriateforqualifyingabsorbentpadsusedwithmembranefiltersforbacteriologicalenumeration.5.1.1Thetestmethodsdescribedareapplicabletoqualitycontroltestingofabsorbentpadsbythesuppliersandusersofthesepadsandtospecificationtestingofabsorbentpadsintendedforusewithmembranefiltersinbacteriologicalenumeration.OtherpurecultureorganismsandtheirappropriateculturemediummaybesubstitutedfortheE.coliandM-FCmediaforspecificationtesting,asrequired.1.1Thesetestmethodscoverthedeterminationofthenutrient-holdingcapacityandthetoxicornutritiveeffectonbacterialgrowthoforganismsretainedonamembranefilter,whentheabsorbentpadbeingtestedisusedasanutrientreservoirandmediumsupplysourcefortheretainedbacteria.1.2Thetestsdescribedareconductedon47-mmdiameterdisks,althoughothersizedisksmaybeemployedforbacterialculturetechniques.1.3Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyproblems,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
