【摘要】:MostASMEPerformanceTestCodesareapplicabletoaspecifictypeofequipmentdefinedbytheCode.TheremaybeseveralsubcategoriesofequipmentcoveredbyasingleCode.TypesofequipmentforwhichPTCsapplycanbeclassifiedintofivebroadcategories:(a)electricalormechanicalpowerproducing;(b)combustionandheattransfer;(c)fluidhandling;(d)emissioncontrol,and;(e)alliedequipment.Thequantities,whichcharacterizeperformance,definedineachcodefortheequipmentwithinitsscope.PerformancecharacteristicsdeterminedbyadherencetoaPTCcanbeevaluatedascomparedtodesignorpredictedcharacteristics,toprevioustestresults,ortheycanbeusedtobenchmarkorascertainperformanceataparticulartime.SomePTCsarewrittenasgeneraldocumentsforreference,insupportoftheequipmentPTCs.Thesecanbeconsideredastechnicalreferencematerialfortheequipmentcodes.Referencematerialcodescanbedividedintothreetypes.Thefirsttypeaddressesthemeasurementofphenomenacloselyassociatedwiththeequipment,suchasemissions.Thesecondtypecoversinstrumentationusedinthemeasurementofthermodynamicorprocessfluidparameters,suchaspressure,temperature,flow,andsteamquality,andhowtoanalyzetheuncertaintiesassociatedwithmeasurementofallprimaryparameterstodevelopoveralltestuncertaintyisincludedinthistype.SuchindividualcodesreferringtoprocessorthermodynamicquantitiesareknownasPerformanceTestCodeInstrumentsandApparatusSupplements.Theyaresupplementarytotheinformationonmandatoryinstrumentationrequirementscontainedintheequipmentcodes.Instrumentationinformationinequipmenttestcodescansupersedetheinformationgiveninthesesupplements,orthesesupplementsmaybereferencedbyanequipmentTestCodewheredeemedappropriatebythecommittee.Thethirdtypecoversmiscellaneousgeneralinformation,andcurrentlyconsistsofPTC1,"GeneralInstructions,"andPTC2,"DefinitionsandValues."PTC2containsstandardsforterms,units,valuesofconstants,andtechnicalnomenclature.
