【摘要】:Thesetestmethodsincludemostoftheimportanttestsusedtocharacterizeheat-shrinkabletubing.Theyareintendedprimarilyfor,butnotlimitedto,extrudedheat-shrinkabletubing.Variationsinthesetestmethodsoralternatecontemporarymethodsofmeasurementmaybeusedtodeterminethevaluesforthepropertiesinthisstandardprovidedsuchmethodsensurequalitylevelsandmeasurementaccuracyequaltoorbetterthanthoseprescribedherein.Itistheresponsibilityoftheorganizationsusingalternatetestmethodstobeabletodemonstratethiscondition.Incasesofdispute,themethodsspecifiedhereinshallbeused.Note28212;Provisionforalternatemethodsisnecessarybecauseof(1)thedesiretosimplifyproceduresforspecificapplicationswithoutalteringtheresult,and(2)thedesiretoeliminateredundanttestingandusedatageneratedduringmanufacturingprocesscontrol,includingthatgeneratedunderStatisticalProcessControl(SPC)conditions,usingequipmentandmethodsotherthanthosespecifiedherein.Anexamplewouldbetheuseoflasermicrometersoropticalcomparatorstomeasuredimensions.1.1Thesetestmethodscoverthetestingofheat-shrinkabletubingusedforelectricalinsulation.Materialsusedincludepoly(vinylchloride),polyolefins,fluorocarbonpolymers,siliconerubber,andotherplasticorelastomericcompounds.1.2Thevaluesstatedininch-poundunitsarethestandardexceptfortemperature,whichshallbeexpressedindegreesCelsius.Valuesstatedinparenthesesareforinformationonly.1.3Theproceduresappearinthefollowingsections:1.4Thisisafire-test-responsestandard.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.Forspecifichazardstatements,seeSectionsand.Note1Thesetestmethodsaresimilar,butnotidenticalto,thoseinIEC60684-2(seealsoNote0).1.5Thisisafire-test-responsestandard.Thetestproceduresmeasuretheresistanceofthetubingtoignitionandpropagationofflameafterignitionunderprescribedconditionsoftest.1.6Thisstandardisusedtomeasureanddescribetheresponseofmaterials,products,orassembliestoheatandflameundercontrolledconditions,butdoesnotbyitselfincorporateallfactorsrequiredforfirehazardorfireriskassessmentofthematerials,products,orassembliesunderactualfireconditions.
