【摘要】:Thistestmethodisintendedforthedeterminationofthearcratingofaproduct/design,intendedforuseaseyeorfaceprotectionforworkersexposedtoelectricarcs.Becauseofthevariabilityofthearcexposure,differentheattransmissionvaluesmaybeobservedatindividualsensors.TheresultsofeachsensorareevaluatedinaccordancewithSection12.Thistestmethodmaintainsthespecimeninastatic,verticalpositionanddoesnotinvolvemovementexceptthatresultingfromtheexposure.Thistestmethodspecifiesastandardsetofexposureconditions.Differentexposureconditionsmayproducedifferentresults.Thisspecificationcoverstheminimumperformancecriteriaforarcresistanceandotherrequirementsforeyeorfaceprotectiveproductsusedbyworkerswhomaybeexposedtothermalhazardsofmomentaryelectricarcsorflame.Thepurchaserhastheoptiontoperformorhaveperformedanyofthesetestsinordertoverifytheperformanceoftheeyeorfaceprotectiveproduct.Claimsforfailuretomeetthespecificationaresubjecttoverificationbythemanufacturer.Note18212;Inadditiontothestandardsetofexposureconditions,otherconditionsrepresentativeoftheexpectedhazardmaybeusedandshallbereportedshouldthisdatabecited.1.1Thistestmethodandproductspecificationisusedtomeasurethearcratingandspecifytherequirementsforproductsintendedforuseaseyeorfaceprotectionforworkersexposedtoelectricarcsthatwouldgenerateheatfluxvaluesfrom84to25120kW/m2[2to600cal/cm2s].Productsaretestedassold.1.2Thistestmethoddeterminesanarcratingforeyeorfaceprotectiveproducts.Thefaceshield,safetyspectacle,goggleororotherapplicableportionsofthecompleteproductmustmeetANSIZ87.1.ThisexcludesthetextileornonANSIZ87.1testablepartsofthehoodassembliesorothertestedproducts.Thisstandarddoesnotmeasureopticalandimpactproperties(seeANSIZ87.1)butdoesspecifyrequirementsforopticalandimpactproperties.1.3Thematerialscoveredbythisstandardareintheformoffaceshieldsattachedtotheheadbyprotectivehelmets(hardhats),headgear,hoodassemblies,safetyspectaclesorgoggles.Faceshields,safetyspectaclesorgogglesaretestedwithorwithoutotherfaceandheadprotectiveproducts,forexample,sockhoods,balaclavas,sweatshirthoodsorjackethoods.1.3.1FabriclayersusedinhoodassembliesorotheritemstestedunderthisstandardshallmeettherequirementsofSpecificationF1506.1.4Thistestmethodshallbeusedtomeasureanddescribethepropertiesofmaterials,products,orassembliesinresponsetoconvectiveandradiantenergygeneratedbyanelectricarcundercontrolledlaboratoryconditionsanddoesnotpurporttopredictdamagefromlightotherthanthethermalaspectsmeasured.1.5ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsshallberegardedasstandardexceptasnoted.Withinthetext,alternateunitsareshowninbrackets.Thevaluesstatedineachsystemmaynobeexactequivalents;therefore,alternatesystemsmustbeusedindependentlyoftheother.Combiningvaluesfromthesystemsdescribedinthetextmayresultinnonconformancewiththemethod.1.6Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttodescribeorappraisetheeffectoftheelectricarcfragmentationexplosionandsubsequentmoltenmetalsplatter,whichinvolvesthepressurewavecontainingmoltenmetalsandpossiblefragmentsofothermaterialsexcepttotheextentthatheatenergytransmissionduetothesearcexplosionphenomenaisreducedbytestspecimens.1.7Thisstandardshallnotbeusedtodescribeorappraisethe......
