【摘要】:Moisture,asdeterminedbythisinstrumentaltestmethod,isusedforcalculatingotheranalyticalresultstoadrybasisusingproceduresinPracticeD3180.Moistureasdeterminedbythistestmethod,maybeusedinconjunctionwiththeair-drymoisturelossdeterminedbyTestMethodD3302todeterminetotalmoistureincoal.Totalmoistureisusedforcalculatingotheranalyticalresultstoanas-receivedbasisusingPracticeD3180.Ashyield,asdeterminedbythistestmethod,istheresidueremainingafterburningthecoalandcokesamples.SeeNote1.Note18212;Theashobtaineddiffersincompositionandamountfromthemineralconstituentspresentintheoriginalcoal.Combustioncausesanexpulsionofallwater,thelossofcarbondioxidefromcarbonates,theconversionofironpyriteintoironoxidesandsulfuroxides,andotherchemicalreactions.Ashyield,asdeterminedbythistestmethod,candifferfromtheamountofashproducedinfurnaceoperationsorothercombustionsystemsbecausecombustionconditionsinfluencethechemistryandamountofash.Ashyield,asdeterminedbythistestmethodisused,(1)asaprincipalparametertoevaluatesamplingproceduresandcoalcleaningprocesses,(2)intheultimateanalysiscalculationofoxygenbydifferenceusingPracticeD3176,(3)incalculationsincludingmaterialbalance,reactivityandyieldsofproductsrelevanttocoalconversionprocessessuchasgasificationandliquefaction.Volatilematteryield,whendeterminedashereindescribed,maybeusedto(1)establishtherankofcoals,(2)indicatecokeyieldoncarbonization,(3)providethebasisforpurchasingandselling,or(4)establishburningcharacteristics.5.6Fixedcarbonisacalculatedvalue.Itisthedifferencebetween100andthesumofthepercentmoisture,ash,andvolatilematter.Allpercentsshallbeonthesamemoisturereferencebase.5.7Moisture,ash,volatilematter,andfixedcarbonpercentsconstitutetheproximateanalysisofcoalandcoke.5.8Moisture,ash,andvolatilematterarethreeoftheprincipalparametersusedforassessingthequalityofcoal.1.1Theseinstrumentaltestmethodscoverthedeterminationofmoisture,volatilematter,andash,andthecalculationoffixedcarbonintheanalysisofcoalandcokesamplespreparedinaccordancewithMethodD2013andPracticeD346.ResultsobtainedthroughtheuseoftheinstrumentaltestshavebeenshowntodifferfromthoseobtainedwithTestMethodsD3173,D3174,andD3175onsomecoalsandcokes.WherearelativebiasbetweentheinstrumentalmethodsandTestMethodsD3173,D3174,andD3175forproximateanalysisofcoalandcokeareshowntoexist,theinstrumentalresultsshallbecorrectedortheinstrumentcalibratedusingsamplesofknownproximateanalysis.TestMethodsD3173,D3174,andD3175shallbeconsideredtherefereetestmethods.Theinstrumentaltestmethodsarenotapplicabletothermogravimetricanalyzersusingmicrogramsizesamples.1.2ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.Nootherunitsofmeasurementareincludedinthisstandard......
